As far as zoning is concerned, if you are intending to build on property, then the type of zoning for the area in question should be determined before making the purchase. Each locality may have unique zoning laws, and specific areas might be zoned for certain types of commercial real estate only. Sometimes an area can be zoned differently, but that is something that needs to be addressed by the zoning officer before you make your commercial real estate purchase.
