Do this as soon as you know the date that you will need it. Many times the portable storage company can deliver the unit to you within a day or two. Other times they may be all booked up and it can take up to a week or more. If it takes more than a week you should probably look for another portable storage company.
Using portable storage is fantastically convenient. This is because the company will bring the container out to your property and place it where it will be easily accessible. You can then take your time and load your belongings in it as you like. If you are not sure how to load a portable storage unit you can always call and asked the portable storage company for tips. Once you get your belongings loaded into the portable storage unit they will be safe and sound from the weather and other elements. You will also have the distinct advantage of putting your own personal pad lock on these storage units as well. This means that you are the only one that will be a will to get into your storage unit. This is important because after it is loaded you will want to have the portable storage unit delivered back to the storage lot and kept there until the day you move. No one else will have access to your belongings when you have your own pad lock on the portable storage unit.
Make sure that you order the correct size for your belongings. If you are not sure what size for a portable storage container that you will need ask the salesperson when you call the storage company. They will be able to advise you.
